3 Things not to do with your blog in 2012

Its a new year which means for many bloggers it is time to set new objectives and experiment with different methods of growing traffic etc. Well believe it or not there are some things that you also want to avoid in 2o12 and this is what i am going to go through in this post. The things i am going to go through can have a big impact on your blogs performance throughout the year.

Artificial backlinks

Buying artificial backlinks is one of the biggest mistakes made by new blogger and can have huge consequences in your blogs performance in search results. You may not believe this but Google looks for natural patterns in building backlinks and it will if you buy for example 100 backlinks and Google notices that other night your blog has suddenly gained over 100 backlinks then they will realize and this could potentially ruin the whole of your SEO campaign. If you want to give your blog the best chance at success then you need to be providing high quality content that other bloggers are going to want to link back to.

Providing less posts

If for the the last few months you have been providing for example one post a day then in 2012 you do not want to be lacking on content. The more high quality content you produce then the better your blog is going to do If you have many regular readers then they are going to be waiting for you to publish your next article for them to read. As well as this producing more content can reduce your bounce rate as people will see another post they are interested in and go on to read.

Do not ignore your readers

As you know readers are the most important thing in any blog and the last thing you want to do is not take notice of them. If you receive a message from a reader then make sure you reply as soon as you can and make sure you never ignore a readers email. As well as this replying to other things like comments on your posts are vital as you want to be interacting with your reader as much as possible to try and generate more user comments and making your readers want to get involved.
