5 tools to analyse your websites SEO – Search engine optimization

Optimizing your blog for search engine rankings can be key to gaining traffic and it is a great method of free promotion. Many WordPress blogs want first page rankings on Google to supply them with most of their traffic. When i have been searching the internet and looking how to improve my SEO I have come across many tools that i use regularly to check on my SEO and just to make sure everything is running smoothly. Many of these tools come back with slightly different results so i would personally recommend using more than one of these as a guide on optimizing your blog for search engines.

PearAnalytics

This is one of my favourite tools for analyzing SEO as i provides a great simple interface. As well as this you are given a list of things to fix that may be affecting your SEO campaign. This list is separated into three categories, depending on how important they are. you are also given your Alexa traffic rank to see how you compare to other websites.  This is a nice tool to get some basic information about how your SEO is going, However for me there is not a lot of information about much else.

Website Grader

Website Grader is probably the most in-depth tool you will find about your website. It may not be highly concentrated on SEO but you can get some really high quality information about your website including a score out of 100 which gives you a good indication about how you are running your website. If you scroll down to the SEO information about your website then you will see how many pages have been indexed by Google; as well as information about your internal links and page descriptions. This tool is great to see how you are marketing your blog and even analyses your Twitter account.

Woo Rank

This is another very useful and effective tool for analyzing your website. With Woo Rank you are told what should be the top 5 priorities for you. These priorities are what is most important to improve your search engine ranking to get the most benefits from search engines. Furthermore you are given an in-depth report on how your SEO is going which can be extremely useful for optimizing your blog.

SEO Workers

This is a nice unique tool focused just on search engine optimization and works great with WordPress blogs. What makes this website unique is that when it identifies a problem with your SEO there is a helpful YouTube video that you can watch which will tell you how to fix the problem. You are also given server information and this website is well worth checking out to help improve your blog.

Lipperhey

Last but not least in Lipperhey. This tool takes some time to get your results but it is worth the wait at the end. Lipperhey also allows you to compare your results with your competition to see how you compare to them in SEO and popularity;which I find very useful as well as helpful. There is also all of the usual information as well such as META data and website structure.
