My Most Advanced Affiliate Marketing Strategy For Bloggers To Make Money Daily

Making money with advertisements on your blog is a good source of regular income for bloggers and this is exactly what I was doing for nearly a year. However I soon realized that there is only a certain amount of money that you can make with advertisements and it can be a nightmare when you do not have advertisers contacting you for a few weeks on your blog. At the time I was taking advice from a lot of more experienced bloggers about how to make money with my blog and time and time again they were talking about affiliate marketing, which to me at the time sounded like a lot of work but when I learnt that some people were making thousands of dollars online by affiliate marketing I soon became interested to try it out.

Affiliate marketing is where you sell someone’s product online and make a commission on each one you sell. There are endless amounts of products that you can affiliate market online but a lot of them will be too difficult to sell. What I personally find is that digital products such as eBooks and web hosting work the best as they are easy to promote and they are products that my readers are actually interested in.

Many people have tried affiliate marketing and had no success with it on their blog. It is key to use the right strategy in order to convince readers to buy products that you are recommending as just covering your blog in advertisements is going to ruin the user experience and no-one is going to buy anything.  To start a successfully affiliate marketing you are going to need to need to do a few stuff

  • You will need to be seen as an expert in your niche. People will not just buy products because anyone has recommended them.  Readers are most likely coming to your blog because they are looking for advice or help from an expert and this is what you need to be seen as.
  • You will also need a fair amount of traffic. If you do not have a lot of traffic then it is going to be a lot harder to sell any products as you will not be reaching a wide enough audience. I would personally recommend having at least 100 visits a day before you consider starting affiliate marketing.
  • To get the best results you are going to need an auto-responder email system such as aweber so that you can automatically send emails to readers.

Once you have chosen the product you want to affiliate market you want to show that you use it and build some awareness of it with your readers before you decide to promote it. First you want to do an in-depth review of the product and give an opinion of what you think of it so that your readers know what you have used the product and recognize it from seeing on your blog posts. The second thing that you want to do is use it in your  blog and include it in lists that you are writing. For example if you are promoting a web host then it would make sense to host your blog on that web host and let readers know that your blog is hosted on that web host. As well as that you also want to include it in other posts and lists. If you are writing  a post about web hosts for bloggers then you could find a way to include it in these posts. With both of these methods you can use affiliate links.

Building your mailing list

Once you have done this you need to work on building your mailing list because the people who are most likely to buy the products that you are promoting are the readers that sign up to your mailing list as they want to keep up to date with your latest posts. They are far more likely to buy products that you recommend than new visitors to your blog.

To build up your mailing list you need to provide readers with an incentive to join. What I did was to create an eBook full of some of my best and most useful information and then I gave it away to my reader for FREE.  I created a landing page for my eBook where users had to sign up to my mailing list to get access to my eBook. By creating a landing page I could convert readers into subscribers of my mailing list with ease. once I had written my eBook it only took a few hours to set up my landing page and then with a day I could see a huge increase in people coming to buy my eBook.

If you do not want to use a landing page then you could also try using a pop-up box on the homepage of your blog so that it is the first thing that readers see when they come to your blog or you could just try using a widget in your sidebar but I cannot see this working as well. A widget in your sidebar will be a good idea to get readers to visit your landing page.

 Selling to readers

My next aim was to promote affiliate products to my mailing list subscribers. I started off by using an auto-responder to send them daily or weekly tips about the same topics as what my eBook was about so for example if you write an eBook on social media then send them weekly tips about social media to keep them motivated and enjoying your content. What you are basically doing is sending them a course that they can benefit from and this will build up their trust in you so make sure that your content is of the highest quality and create a name for your e-Course such as “Becoming a social media expert in 7 days”.

This is where you make the money.

No body likes being directly sold to and we are far more likely to buy a product if it has been recommended to us by someone who we can trust. Once you get to about day 4 or 5 of your course then begin to mention and recommend the product that you are affiliate marketing; in the email after that you could include a tutorial of how to use the product to get results.

If you have done this right then readers will be more than happy to buy the affiliate product that you recommend just because you have recommended it as they know they will be able to benefit from it.

That is the end of my strategy that I have personally proven to work. It might seem like a lot of work at the begging but it will all pay off when you are making thousands online.
