5 reasons to exhibit at a trade show

The first thing on any start-up’s agenda should be increasing brand awareness and getting yourself ‘out there’.

Digital marketing is a big wide world of possibilities and you can’t ever be sure you’re 100% reaching your target market. It really can be a bit of a guessing game when you start out.

We completely understand the frustration this can cause which can ultimately stunt your businesses growth.

However, exhibiting at a trade show is a completely different type of marketing all together that can yield long lasting customer relationships.

We talk through 5 reasons why you should exhibit at a trade show in 2017. Don’t let your competitors out shine you!

  1. Brand Awareness

Getting your brand noticed by your target market is something that takes time and effort. After all, your brand has it’s own personality and you want your customers to engage with it.

Exhibiting at a trade show allows you to tap into golden opportunities to grow your brand awareness.

  1. Customer Engagement

You get the chance to stand out from the crowd and meet your customers face-to-face, this is sometimes more valuable than an online lead because you get to make an impression on a personal level.

You can also find out more information about your target market, including interests and offer incentives for them to visit your store/website after the event is over. For example, offering discount vouchers can help entice potential customers to convert later down the line.

  1. Repeat Business

Leading on from point 2, by making a personal introduction the customer is more likely to remember your encounter and look back on their experience positively. Leading to repeat business. Especially if you offer an incentive like mentioned in point 2.

  1. Competitive Edge

Your competitors may not be exhibiting at trade shows where there is massive potential for business that you’ll be first in line for.

However if they are, see what their exhibition stand is like, what are they doing to attract and engage with customers and how can you stand out from the crowd?

  1. Generate publicity

As previously mentioned, digital marketing is a hard nut to crack but attending a trade show can tie into your social strategy too.

Most events have a twitter handle and hashtag promoting the event that you’ll be going to.

This is a great way to join in on the hype running up to it and let others know you’ll be there.
