Creating a Favicon

Ever wondered what that little image is that you see on the top of your screen when visiting websites ? That is called a Favicon and in this tutorial we will show you how to create your own.

This is a favicon for Facebook in a Google chrome web browser the icon before the word Facebook is the favicon.

HOW TO CREATE YOUR OWN

1. First go to your desired image editing program (we will be using Photoshop) and create a blank canvas with the dimensions 16×16.

2.Create your icon and convert it to a icon (.ico) file)

3. Now upload your favicon.ico to your server in the same directory as your web page. as well as this you can also upload it to the root directory.
