In these cases, you can expect to pay around 3% of your wage, while your employer will contribute 2%. This is set to change in April 2019, when your contributions will rise to 5%, but your employer will have to contribute 3%.   • Snowball Effect: Compound interest means that the more you put into your pension, the more money you can generate towards your pension.
